Egg Study I
6 x 6
SOLD

I've always said that one of the most difficult things to do in scratchboard is an egg. Maintaining soft value transitions (without over scratching) while also preserving the precise geometry of the form is very challenging. This little piece, only 6 x 6, took many, many hours. I've enjoyed my feather studies, so I may continue with some egg studies going forward. This is "Egg Study I" (American woodcock).
